1. Acceptance

By using Local Havn, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What Local Havn does

Local Havn is a community events discovery platform. We help people find local gatherings, meetups, and happenings. Event listings come from two sources:

• Public event listings collected from around the web via our scraper pipeline (staged, reviewed, and promoted to live listings).
• User submissions from organizers and community members who add or claim events.

3. Accounts

You may create an account with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the platform.

4. Organizer claims and submissions

Organizers can claim events and submit corrections or updates through the moderation queue. All content changes are reviewed before they go live. We may reject submissions that are inaccurate, misleading, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate.

5. Content and accuracy

We do our best to keep event information accurate, but we rely on public sources and user submissions. Event details (dates, times, locations, prices) may change without our knowledge. Always confirm details with the organizer or venue before attending.

6. Payments, boosts, and subscriptions

Local Havn offers optional paid features for event organizers: one-time event boosts, which give an event 72 hours of top-of-feed placement, and Bronze, Silver, and Gold sponsor subscriptions, billed monthly or annually. Current prices and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page.

• Payment processing: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number; payment details are handled by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel.
• Cancellation and plan changes: You can cancel, switch plans, update your payment method, and view invoices at any time from Manage billing on your Billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep your plan's features until then.
• Included boosts and notifications: Boosts and push notifications included with a subscription are allotted per billing period, reset at each renewal, and do not roll over.
• Promotional codes: Promotional offers and codes are subject to the specific terms stated with the offer and may be limited in number or duration.
• No guaranteed results: Boosts and sponsor features increase an event's visibility on Local Havn but do not guarantee views, clicks, attendance, or ticket sales.
• Price changes: We may change our prices. Changes to an existing subscription take effect at your next renewal.
• Refunds: Payments are non-refundable except as described here or where required by law. When you cancel a subscription, you keep access until the end of your current billing period, and we do not issue refunds or credits for partial periods, including for annual plans. If your event is canceled or removed before a purchased boost begins, contact us and we'll refund the boost or credit it to another event. If we remove a listing during an active boost for a reason other than a violation of these Terms, we'll refund the boost. Duplicate or mistaken charges will be refunded. We may issue other refunds or credits at our discretion.

7. Data export and deletion

Logged-in users can request a download of their account data and can request account deletion from the account settings page. Account deletion marks your profile and may cancel events you have claimed, in line with our data-handling practices.

8. Disclaimers

Local Havn is provided "as is." We are not responsible for event cancellations, venue changes, ticketing disputes, injuries, losses, or any other issues arising from events discovered through the platform.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Local Havn after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
