Tactus Ensemble presents: Main Street of America - Celebrating 100 years of Route 66

About this event

Celebrate 100 years of Route 66 with brand new music performed by the Tactus Ensemble at the Te Ata Theater at Oklahoma Contemporary. Composed by Tactus Music Director, Warren Puffer Jones, "Main Street of America" will focus on the lives of various people throughout the history and geography of Route 66. The piece highlights how the story of the road represents the diversity and vibrancy of American life. The hour-long work is scored for five voices and 15 instruments. Images from locations along the historic route will be projected during the performance. Don't miss this musical celebration of the Mother Road in Oklahoma City this November.
